Menu

The Michelin Guide recommended Clarisse’s kitchen is led by chef György Szűcs. While developing the menu it was important for him to respect and conserve the region’s traditions and values and cooperate with regional manufacturers.

The core of the menu was inspired by traditional dishes, such as goulash soup, stuffed peppers and “floating islands”. The goal of the Clarisse restaurant is to establish a comprehensible, progressive regional kitchen, while incorporating international and Mediterranean items into the menu. That is how Moroccan dried lemons find their way into the “floating islands” and wasabi compliments the mangalica pork.

The menu is completed by the wine pairings, which were carefully selected by Tamás Langó, Hungary’s first Michelin Guide awarded sommelier.

What is the Clarisse restaurant?

The chateau feeling of the 1800s combined with the most modern gastronomical trends and technologies. Hungarian traditions and regional ingredients dominate, complemented by the best that the world’s cuisines have to offer. Aside from preserving BOTANIQ Castle of Tura’s magnificence and impressive history, its goal is for visitors to enjoy the culinary experience provided by Clarisse.

The restaurant is open to any guest who wishes to experience the novelties of the world’s gastronomy in a friendly, but not typical environment. The guests get the opportunity to order á la carte, but they can also experience our team’s philosophy through a tasting menu.

The legacy of Clarisse Schossberger

Zsigmond Schossberger’s granddaughter, the castle’s late heiress, was Klára Schossberger, or as she was often called: Clarisse. Her life intertwined with the castle’s history on many occasions: her wedding was held here and she happily chronicled intimate, everyday moments within the castle’s walls with her camera. Her legacy of photographs and her recollections are priceless, since they captured the castle’s magnificent ambiance and original splendor for future generations.

The 10,5 hectare park with ancient trees was renovated with the original plans in mind and based on research findings. Because of that we were able to create a castle garden that is true to its times, while still being modern; one that invites the guests of the hotel and the Clarisse on a journey before and after dinner.
