Clarisse, the restaurant of BOTANIQ Castle of Tura wins another prestigious international award

BOTANIQ Castle of Tura & Clarisse restaurant received the Wine Selection of the Year Award at the 2023 Audi-Dining Guide Restaurant of the Year Gala! The award was presented to Tamás Langó, Executive Sommelier of BDPST Group and winner of the Michelin Sommelier Award on Monday, 22 May.

Budapest, 30 May 2023 – Great expectations lie ahead of one of the most significant gastronomic events year by year, and the oldest gastronomy platform of Hungary tests hundreds of catering establishments every year. The Dining Guide team has well been aware of the achievements of Hungarian top gastronomy in the past few years: having spent 36 years at Michelin, the director has assessed the work of more than ten thousand restaurants. The gala was organised on Monday, 22 May, and BOTANIQ Castle of Tura and Clarisse restaurant achieved a huge success in “The Wine Selection of the Year Award” category. The award was presented to Tamás Langó, Executive Sommelier of BDPST Group and winner of the Michelin Sommelier Award, whose high level of knowledge had contributed to the success achieved.

“The award is a huge honour for us. It is also great feedback for the whole team, the castle, Clarisse Restaurant as well as for me and the two sommeliers who I work with. It is important to highlight that it was a real team work, and the entire personnel of the castle as well as that of BDPST Group supported me with this wine concept,” said Tamás Langó to Dining Guide. He also added that compiling the award-winning wine list was a very long process, and its important aspect was to make themselves proud of the wine producers they work with, and to make the wineries presenting their wines on the list proud, as well.

The award-winning wine list is based on French wines, and it is complemented with Hungarian wines that can compete with the greatest French or other top wines coming from the European wine-producing countries with a long history.

As a hotel, BOTANIQ Castle of Tura has excelled in a number of competitions so far. Last year, it received, among others, the award for the best 5-star hotel of Hungary at the International Travel Awards competition, and it also won the Real Estate Development Excellence Award in the hotel category. Along with these services, the dining experiences of the hotel are also outstanding: Clarisse, the restaurant of BOTANIQ Castle of Tura became the best fine dining restaurant of Hungary at the International Dining Awards in 2022.
