Peter Knoll to become Cluster General Manager of BDPST Group

BDPST Hotel Management’s team is expanding with an international expert. Peter Knoll, arriving from the Hilton Budapest, will fill the position of Cluster General Manager from April 17th, 2023.  In the future he will be managing the Botaniq Castle of Tura, Botaniq Buda Club, as well as the the Pannónia Golf&Country Club.

As Cluster General Manager Peter Knoll, who has four decades of experience in the tourism sector, will be responsible for the complex management of three venues, all operating under BDPST Group’s premium brand BOTANIQ Collection. Aside from managing the BOTANIQ Castle of Tura and the Pannónia Golf&Country Club he will also be responsible for overseeing the soon-to-be-opened, exclusive Buda Club.

The expert finds the task of creating synergy between the three units – which all represent differing forms of service, while also operating under the same premium standards – a serious and honorable professional undertaking. He will be responsible for the daily operations of the venues under the BOTANIQ brand.

The German-born expert has had a prominent career in the hotel industry. He began working as a chef and then continued to work in management positions around the world: in China, Great Britain, Russia, and Estonia, among others.

He managed market leading firms, such as the Kempinski Group (Czechia, Slovakia, Croatia, Jordan, and Austria) and the Danubius Hotels Group.

In Hungary, he was responsible for the management of Hilton Budapest and the historic Gundel Restaurant, but he was previously also the Resident Manager of the opening Corinthia Hotel Royal and the Director of sales at Kempinski Hotel Corvinus.

He has outstanding experience in high etiquette and exclusive hospitality. His guests, among other well-known artists, have included Michael Jackson, and as the general manager of the Schlössle Hotels in Tallinn he was also responsible for the organization of Queen Elizabeth II.’s state banquet.
